Typical Activities
Recreation
Students are provided with scheduled times of recreation throughout the week. At Pine Mountain Boys Academy, there are opportunities for recreation right on our campus from outdoor activities like outdoor beach volleyball to indoor basketball, pickleball, volleyball, and foursquare in our newly renovated gymnasium. Students also enjoy a weight room, game room, music room, and pool days!
Students are challenged daily through active participation in group sports and adventure activities. Our environment balances discipline with personal responsibility. Boys learn best in an environment of activity. Our goal is to use activity to nurture students toward making more positive decisions, where good choices are made as a result of genuine concern for themselves and for others.

Physical Education
As a regular part of the daily schedule, students are required to participate in a rigorous exercise regimen. Pine Mountain Boys Academy school credit is earned for each student’s participation in Physical Education.

Stewardship in Student Life
An organization core value for Pine Mountain Boys Academy, we describe stewardship as “faithfully managing God’s call and resources.” Through daily chores our students are taught the importance of stewardship in the treatment of personal property as well at Pine Mountain Boys Academy property. Students are responsible for keeping their areas neat at all times and work as a group to complete an assigned chore each day during the week. Students are taught to take pride in their hard work as students and staff members alike faithfully preserve our facility to be enjoyed for generations to come.
The Arts
Each Spring, students are invited to participate in a statewide Christian Fine Arts Festival. They can choose categories from wood carving, writing and photography to all kinds of music, drama and speaking entries. They are encouraged as they develop their individual giftings to glorify God. Under the direction of skilled Pine Mountain Boys Academy staff and community volunteers, students can continue to grow and excel in their God-given talents.
Weekly Church Services
While at Pine Mountain Boys Academy, students attend regular church services up to three times a week at Griffin First Assembly including Wednesday night youth group services.
Weekly Chapel Services
Weekly, students and staff join together for campus-wide worship. Community & church leaders also speak during our chapel services. This is a special time when the Pine Mountain family gathers together for encouragement and prayer.
Special Outings
Pine Mountain Boys Academy students attend several youth conferences, sporting events, hiking, camping, canoe or kayak trips, white water rafting, annual beach trip, Christian concerts, sheep shearing at a local farm, Aviation & Biblical History Museums, a mission trip to El Salvador and much more.
Animal Care
Our campus is filled with animals, which are cared for by the boys. It teaches them responsibility and care in handling God’s creatures.
Personal Devotion
Every evening before “lights out” at 10 pm, students take 30 minutes of “quiet time” for reflection and focusing on lessons learned that day.
